What We Stand For

Our focus is to help everyone enjoy being active in the game, while refining the skills that make tennis fun for players of all ages and experience levels. This is why we play as a team, practice with friends and have our matches together.

No matter how much or how little you know about the sport, we’ll be glad to have you join us. Tennis has taken it’s hold on our town and it’s time for you to join the game. Drop by the courts to see us!

Our Tennis Center

We Are Providing an Environment for Our Players to Grow & Excel

St. George JTT has regular seasons during the Spring, Fall, and a 2 week Summer Camp. They are 6-8 week sessions, practicing one day during the week, with matches on Saturday mornings. Our program welcomes kids from 5-18 years old. There are five age divisions: 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and 18 & Under. Birthdays are needed to specify which team the child will be on, according to USTA Competition Year regulations.

Our Vision

Teaching the Tennis players of tomorrow

With a variety of practices, games and matches, our program is designed for all youth, regardless of their tennis skill level.  Our program welcomes kids from 5-18 years old. There are five age divisions: 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and 18 & Under. Birthdays are needed to specify which team the child will be on, according to USTA Competition Year regulations.

Children aged 10 and under are instructed using a smaller, more manageable format, so they can learn the game without being overwhelmed.  We’re very fortunate to have our 10 & Under Tennis Courts (smaller in size) for our youngest players. We were one of the first tennis facilities in the state to build these!  This tennis format is called “Net Generation”.

Our Director

Barbara L. Jones – St. George Youth Sports League Executive Director

The area that I had cringed at in 2009 is now a place of beauty. I invite you to visit the St George Tennis Center. You will see children ages 5 years thru 18 years learning tennis from our Junior Team Tennis volunteer coaches. We began our Jr Team Tennis program in 2010.  And now adults and seniors can have friendly tennis matches right in our own back yard. Since our initial season we have players who’ve graduated from high school and college and some who are currently enrolled in colleges across the country.  Our alumni even return to volunteer for our Summer Camp and some tournaments.  I look forward to our upcoming 12 year anniversary.

What Parents are Saying

Callie McClure

(daughter Calder pictured)

Our daughter, Calder, started with the Jr Tennis Program in St. George a little over a year ago.  She has enjoyed learning the fundamentals and some history of tennis, as well as making new friends.  She always comments that she can’t wait to see her tennis friends. We appreciate the special events the program has, as well. Movie nights, season finale parties, book mobile visits and so much more. Thankful for this opportunity for our children and those who work so hard to make it happen in our community.

My son’s experiences here have expanded his appreciation for organized sports. The volunteer staff and coaches are always encouraging and enthusiastic toward all of the children- even when they make mistakes. I drive my son from thirty minutes away, two or three times a week during the fall and spring seasons, so that he can play. I am so thankful that St. George Tennis Center is here for him!

Angela Taylor

We were told and recommended about the St. George Tennis Center by a dear friend. Back then, we only had two sons who were 12 and under and interested with tennis as our homeschool sport.
Thanks to the well thought of facilitators and coaches who are training my boys with courage and technique skills. My boys have become very good tennis players with athletic characters.
We are always welcomed by all the facilitators to practice anytime. That, makes us to set time for practice or family fun practice.
Thank you for all the volunteers, coaches and director. We deeply appreciate this opportunity that our family can do sport together.

Catana Elmore

(daughter Ja’Niya pictured)

St. George Jr Tennis Team has provided my child Ja’ Niaya with the ability to explore and learn about the most important tools of tennis. Jr tennis program gives her a chance to be more active while playing sports. She is able to use her physical and mental ability in order to function as a player and as a helper to the younger players during camp. Ja’ Niaya is given the opportunity to be apart of a diverse program that encourages all to
be there best in whatever they do or want to be.

St. George Jr Team Tennis Program really helped my children through some of the toughest times in there lives.  This program taught them to believe in themselves , and to trust the process. This program taught them the skills, confidence, and teamwork to always give 100% every time they step onto the court.  Every time they step onto the court there mission is to win. St. George Jr Tennis Team Program teachers and build strong leaders.

Felicia Baker-Washington

Makayla is blossoming with the St. George Jr. Tennis Team. We are highly committed to continuing with the program for years to come, because it is a great investment. As a parent, I am very pleased with the professionalism that is exhibited by the staff and the facility is always inviting.
